Tutorial
Four features, from first try to power user. Every step matches the real UI, with example prompts you can copy.
Feature guides
1. Generate a table with AI
Start from scratch: describe the table in one sentence and AI builds a complete spreadsheet. No file needed.
Best for
Steps
- 1Open the workspace and choose the first tab, "Generate Table".
- 2Describe the table in plain language: which columns, roughly how many rows, and what each row contains.
- 3Click "Generate with AI". In a few seconds, a preview appears with the row and column count.
- 4Not quite right? Use the "continue editing" box (add a column, sort, format numbers…) and click the AI edit button to iterate.
- 5When happy, click "Download Excel file" to get an .xlsx file with today’s date in the name.
💬 Example prompts
Be specific: list the column names, row count and any relationships between columns (e.g. "amount = qty × unit price").
2. Edit an existing spreadsheet
Upload an Excel file and let AI edit data in bulk from a sentence. Every change is reviewed before applying.
Best for
Steps
- 1Open the workspace and choose the second tab, "Edit Table".
- 2Click or drag in an Excel file (.xlsx / .xls / .csv). It is parsed locally in your browser and never stored.
- 3Preview the original data, describe the edit you want, then click "AI Edit".
- 4Review the change log: each row/column change with old value, new value and type (added/modified/removed), plus the full new preview.
- 5Click "Apply changes" when satisfied, or "redo" with a new instruction.
- 6Pick an export style (original layout / beautified) and download the edited Excel file.
💬 Example prompts
The free plan supports files up to 200 rows. Quote column names exactly as they appear in the header for the most accurate results.
3. Generate VBA code with AIPro
Automate Excel without knowing VBA: describe the task, get the macro plus step-by-step run instructions.
Best for
Steps
- 1Open the workspace and choose the third tab, "VBA Code" (marked with a Pro badge).
- 2Describe what you need in plain language and click "Generate VBA". Non-Pro users get one free trial.
- 3The result shows the code type (Sub macro / custom function / event procedure), the code itself, and usage steps.
- 4Click "Copy VBA code". Open your Excel file and press Alt + F11 to open the VBA editor.
- 5In the editor menu choose Insert → Module, paste the code, then close the window.
- 6Run it: press F5 for a Sub (or Developer → Macros in Excel); type =FunctionName() in a cell for a custom function; event procedures fire automatically on the matching action.
💬 Example prompts
Save a backup copy before running macros. If Excel shows a security warning, click "Enable Content" to allow the macro to run.
4. Formula helpers
At the bottom of the workspace — no upload required. Generate, explain and debug formulas on the fly.
Best for
Steps
- 1Open the workspace and scroll to the "Formula tools" section at the bottom. There are three tabs.
- 2Generate: describe the need in plain language; get the formula plus explanation, examples and edge cases.
- 3Explain: paste a formula you don’t understand; AI breaks down every function and argument.
- 4Debug: paste a formula that errors or returns wrong results; AI identifies the problem and returns a fixed version.
- 5Every result has a copy button — one click and you can paste it straight into Excel.
💬 Example prompts
When debugging, include what you intended the formula to do — AI can then tell a syntax error apart from wrong logic.
FAQ
Is my file uploaded and stored on your servers?+
No. The Edit Table feature parses your Excel file locally in your browser. The file itself is never stored on our servers. Only the text instruction you type is sent to the AI to perform the edit.
Which file formats are supported?+
Editing supports .xlsx, .xls and .csv; the result is always exported as .xlsx. Generate Table needs no file at all — just describe what you want in plain language.
How does the free quota work?+
You can try without an account, and logged-in users get a higher free quota. The remaining daily count is shown in the UI and refreshes every day. VBA includes one free trial for non-Pro users; Pro unlocks 200 runs per day plus all features.
What if the AI makes a wrong change?+
Every edit is listed in a change log (row, column, old value, new value, change type) and applied only after you confirm. You can also ask the AI to redo it. Generated tables can be refined for as many rounds as you like before downloading.
